Beach Access Ramp

Council have agreed to modify the existing fencing at the top of the ramp to isolate the hole but open access to the ramp for the IRB and pedestrians. Sand will be taken from North of the club and placed over the rocks at the base of the ramp to provide a path for the ATV and IRB. The fencing at the bottom of the ramp will then be removed. This is expected to happen week starting November 2nd.

Permanent remedial works will not take place until after the Christmas School Holidays so mostly likely early February 2016. This will involve extending the lower sea wall from where it currently ends South of the club, right through to the end of the ramp. Only when this is complete will they fill the hole in front of the IRB shed.

Welcome to the new South Curly Blog!

Friday 9th October: Here’s a new way of sharing news updates and important info to all our South Curly members.  The blog will be updated periodically with news and insights, so check it out on a regular basis.

For starters – Welcome to all new and returning Nippers who hit our slightly rocky beach on Sunday for the first time this season.  Don’t worry, the sand might be in short supply at the moment, but it will come back as the currents shift around into their summer pattern!  In the meantime, we will adapt and or move further down the beach where needed.

So see you all on Sunday morning!
